Lou E. Perez

From his earliest days, Lou E. Perez had a dream that with enough insight, determination, focus, and boundless energy, he could ascend to heights of success that would eclipse even the wildest dreams of his peers. This conviction was not born out of mere ambition but was deeply rooted in his aspirations to uplift others and be a beacon of hope and opportunity. It was this spirit that ignited his journey toward becoming an entrepreneur at the age of sixteen years old, ultimately driven by the ideology that his success would be measured not just in personal achievements, but in the positive impact he could have on others.

Growing up as the son of immigrants, Perez was immersed in a living testament to the transformative power of hard work, dedication, and selfless service embodied by his parents. He witnessed firsthand their tireless efforts, commitments to serving others, and remarkable ability to overcome challenges, which not only propelled them to great success but also served as a profound source of inspiration for Perez to thrive in their adopted homeland. These formative experiences shaped Perez’s worldview and instilled in him a deep sense of responsibility to pay forward the blessings he had received.

Today, as an accomplished entrepreneur, Perez’s endeavors have taken him into the realms of partnership with Fortune 500 companies and the cultivation of enduring relationships with leaders of some of the nation’s most prestigious corporations. Yet, amid his professional pursuits, Perez’s true passion lies in his commitment to helping others. This passion found tangible expression through the creation of the Lou E. Perez Foundation, a beacon of hope for families grappling with the anguish of having terminally ill children.

The foundation’s mission is as noble as it is vital: to provide a lifeline of support to these families, offering essential services, heartfelt gifts, vital transportation, comfortable lodging, and the everyday necessities that can ease the burden of their unimaginable trials. To date, the foundation’s compassionate efforts have touched the lives of over 300 families, offering solace and support during their darkest hours.

Beyond his philanthropic endeavors, Perez shares a deep-rooted love for America’s favorite pastime: baseball. Yet, his connection to the sport transcends mere fandom; it is intertwined with his entrepreneurial spirit and his unwavering commitment to community betterment. In 2003, Perez found himself on the cusp of realizing a childhood dream when he joined forces with a consortium of investors in a bid to acquire the Anaheim Angels Baseball Club from The Walt Disney Company. Though fate did not see this dream come to fruition, as Arte Moreno ultimately outbid Perez’s group, it forged a lasting friendship between Perez and Moreno, united by their shared passion for baseball, business acumen, and dedication to enhancing the quality of life in their local community.

Through every twist and turn of his journey, from the humble beginnings shaped by immigrant roots to the pinnacle of entrepreneurial success and philanthropic impact, Lou E. Perez’s story serves as a testament to the enduring power of perseverance, empathy, and a steadfast commitment to uplifting others. His legacy is not merely one of achievements but of lives touched, dreams realized, and communities transformed for the better
